Dr Geoff Clarke

Advanced Practitioner Principal Veterinary Surgeon

BVMS CertSAS MRCVS

Geoff qualified from Glasgow in 1988. He is recognised by the RCVS as an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery. He worked in Northern Ireland in a mixed practice for 8 years before moving to England and working as a small animal vet for 10 years. During this time he gained a certificate in small animal surgery and was Senior Veterinary Surgeon for PDSA Gateshead. He moved back to Northern Ireland and opened Advance Veterinary Care in 2006. He is a “cat advocate” for the practice. Geoff loves to spend his spare time with his wife, three young children and multitude of pets.

Dr Karen Annett

Veterinary Surgeon

Karen qualified in 1998 from Edinburgh Vet School. Karen is often referred to in work as the "oracle", she is a wealth of information and can recall any fact at will. Karen ran her own veterinary practice in England before returning home to Northern Ireland. Her hobbies include walking and cooking.

Dr Lisa McStravick

Veterinary Surgeon

MVB MRCVS

Lisa qualified in 1992 from Dublin. She worked in mixed practice in Northern Ireland, before joining Advance Vets in 2008. She has 3 children who keep her busy outside of work and still enjoys some large animal work helping out on her home farm.

Emma Clarke

Head Nurse, Pet Health Counsellor Practice Manager

RCVS Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing

Emma is a “cat advocate” for the practice and has worked hard towards achieving, Gold level, cat friendly status. She achieved first overall for RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Nursing Northern Ireland and was awarded the Norbrook Cup. She continues her studies and is a Pet Health Counsellor, Dental Oral Care Nurse and a Pet Weight Consultant. She has worked in the veterinary industry for over 22 years, working for the PDSA in England before moving to Northern Ireland in 2006 to fulfill her dream, Advance Veterinary Care. Emma has two boys and a girl who keep her busy along with an expanding number of pets including 2 miniature schnauzers dogs, 4 pygmy goats, a rescue cat called Tom, hens and goldfish.

Jill Nicholson

Registered Veterinary Nurse

NVQ Level 3 in Veterinary Nursing

Jill has been in the veterinary profession for over 12 years, qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse at Greenmount College, Antrim in January 2012. Jill has a son and daughter along with two dogs called Daisy and Willow. They all keep her very busy outside of work. She likes to socialise with friends in her spare time and also produces handmade cards.

Janette Morris

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Janette completed the level 2 Animal Nursing Certificate and then went on to qualify as a veterinary nurse. She has continued her studies and also holds a city and guilds Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care. Janette is married with a daughter, a dog named Skipper, 2 rescue cats, a horse, a goat and a coup full of hens.

Emily Rae

Emily completed her Animal Nursing Assistant Certificate at Greenmout college. She completed her journey becoming a qualified veterinary nurse with Advance Veterinary Care. Emily is married and has a beautiful daughter. She has a Weimaraner called Olive. She has many hidden talents including cake making.

Callum Carlisle

Level 2 Certificate Animal Nursing Assistants

Callum completed the level 2 certificate in Animal Nursing as a student at Advance Vets. He has since become a full-time member of staff and an extra man in the building to keep Geoff company. Callum has always had a passion for animals, especially birds. His ambition is to become a qualified veterinary nurse and is currently studying to achieve this goal.

Erin Morrison

Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Level 2 Certificate Animal Nursing Assistants

Erin completed her Level 2 Certificate for Animal Nursing Assistants at Greenmount College. Erin always wanted to work with animals from when she was very young and her aim is to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future. She really enjoys working at Advance and loves to meet all of the patients and their owners. Erin has a boxer dog, a sphynx cat and a budgie named Bobbie. She has lots of hobbies including cooking and baking but she also enjoy going out and socialising with friends, reading, long distance walking, swimming and painting nails.

Amy is currently studying to gain her Level 2 Certificate Animal Nursing Assistants. She has a baby girl.

Anastasiia Bila

Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Anastasiia moved to Lisburn after fleeing the conflict in her home country, Ukraine. She has a huge passion for animals and after volunteering for 8 months, became a permanent member of the team.
